On Friday evening, Paris Saint-Germain lost 1-3 against AS Monaco in Matchday 25 of the 2025-2026 Ligue 1 season at the Parc des Princes. Here are the highs and lows of this defeat.

Highs –

❤️ The injury list is shrinking.

Ousmane Dembélé and Senny Mayulu returned to action tonight, playing 30 minutes each, and there are no new injuries for PSG. That’s a small positive.

Lows –

😡 Too many wasted opportunities.

PSG struggled to create any real danger, despite having numerous promising situations, whether through pressing or well-executed combinations. However, the Parisians were rarely able to maintain their lead, hampered by minor errors (in decision-making and execution) and a lack of presence in front of goal.

Technical errors.

This goes hand in hand with a lack of efficiency, but it’s not just in attack. Overall, this team lacked precision in its ball control and passing. Monaco pressed well, but there were some real blunders. It’s far too many for this team.

Zaire-Emery, a rare off night.

It’s not often, but the 19-year-old midfielder was guilty of some major errors tonight, including the one that led to Monaco’s opening goal. We can grant him that it was his 32nd consecutive start, but we can’t deny that it wasn’t a good night.

Dro Fernandez, a difficult start.

He was a surprise choice by Luis Enrique, as Lee Kang-In was expected in midfield. Dro Fernandez struggled to make an impact against PSG’s pressing and in winning back possession. Nothing to worry about at his age, but still surprising given the Parisian coach’s decision.
