This Friday, during Matchday 25 of Ligue 1 2025-2026, Paris Saint-Germain faced Monaco at the Parc des Princes. After a match where the Red and Blue dominated but lacked clinical finishing, they lost 1-3. Here are our player ratings for the Parisians.
Goalkeeper –
Matvey Safonov (6) – He could do little about the goals but made two fine saves.
Defenders –
Achraf Hakimi (5.5) – Hakimi wasn’t at his best tonight at the Parc des Princes, even though he still shows flashes of brilliance.
Ilyia Zabarnyi (6) – A mixed performance from the Ukrainian. Solid and commanding, he also had one or two rather average clearances. He also tended to commit fouls.
Willian Pacho (6.5) – A good performance in duels. He’s tough, but clean.
Nuno Mendes (5.5) – A mixed bag. He put in a lot of energy attacking, but a little less so defending at times. His decision-making was inconsistent.
Midfielders –
Dro Fernandez (4) – A respectable first half. You can tell he physically avoids physical challenges, but he showed some good things with the ball. He also made a lot of forward runs.
Vitinha (4) – He plays very (too?) deep. It’s good to be involved in the initial build-up play, but he’s far from the others, had a limited influence on the game, and struggled defensively.
Warren Zaïre-Emery (3.5) – At fault for Monaco’s goal, he also committed fouls and was sometimes inattentive. Solid in duels, he needs to be able to do better with the ball.
Forwards –
Khvicha Kvaratskhelia (4) – He’s far from the great Kvaratskhelia. He’s wasteful and lacks ideas.
Bradley Barcola (5.5) – Still lively on the left, he’s still missing something in his final decision, even though he scored with a deflected shot.
Désiré Doué (5) – Plenty of ideas, but few good executions. He lacks the clinical edge he had last year.
Coach –
Luis Enrique (3) – He’s trying things to preserve a squad lacking confidence. His choices didn’t pay off in the first half, especially starting Dro Fernandez. Too many natural left wingers if you include Mendes. There’s also a lack of creativity in midfield.
