On Wednesday, in the second leg of the 2025-2026 Champions League playoffs, Paris Saint-Germain faced AS Monaco at the Parc des Princes. Jordan Teze, the 26-year-old midfielder for the Monegasque team, stopped in the mixed zone after the 2-2 draw which secured PSG’s qualification (5-4 on aggregate).
Teze: “We didn’t win, and that’s what matters.”
Any regrets?
“Yes, it’s a bit tough. But as I said, we showed who we are, that we’re really strong. Many people said it would be easy for PSG to qualify, but it wasn’t easy for them. Their fans weren’t happy. But in the end, we didn’t win, and that’s what counts.”
What was missing?
“Against PSG, it’s the smallest detail.” You could say it was the red card again, or a blocked shot. I don’t know. We played really well for 60 minutes, it’s tough.
Teze: “A lot of journalists said it would be easy for PSG.”
What are your feelings?
I’m speechless. We played really well, especially in the first half. But like in the first leg, we got another red card. And they scored right after, it’s sad. But we played well.
We’re focusing on the positives. We really showed everyone that we’re capable of winning. A lot of journalists said it would be easy for PSG. They know it wasn’t easy for them. That’s football, that’s how it is.
