At the end of each Paris Saint-Germain match during the month of December, as we now always do (based on the podiums for each match’s player of the month election), we asked people to vote for the “player of the month”. João Neves (20-year-old midfielder) came out on top.
As a reminder, the matches in December were :
Auxerre/PSG (0-0), Salzbourg/PSG (0-3), PSG/Lyon (3-1), Monaco/PSG (2-4) and Lens/PSG (1-1, then 3-4 on aggregate).
It’s a huge victory, and one that seems fairly deserved given Hakimi’s string of great performances. Quite impressively, since he never seems to need a breather. This despite the fact that he is one of the players who contributes most to attacks and goals, as well as being at the forefront of defensive actions.
PSG can be delighted to have such a player, and we hope he can continue to do so, even if we’ll have to take a rain check from time to time.
Désiré Doué (19-year-old midfielder/attacker) is also making a name for himself with a fine 2nd place finish. This is very promising for the future.
We’d like to thank you for your votes, and point out that the podiums for these “Player of the Month” awards will be used for the title of best player of the season, since you’ll need to have been on the podium at least 1 time to be among the nominees.
