Here’s our series: The 5 best reasons to watch a match (with some minor adjustments). We’ll be highlighting the most appealing aspects before each match with a mix of seriousness and humor. Please note, this isn’t meant to be an exhaustive overview. We continue here with the match between Paris Saint-Germain (1st) and Le Havre (13th) this Saturday at the Stade Océane for Matchday 24 of the 2025-2026 Ligue 1 season (kick-off at 9:05 PM, CET).
5 – Guess the lineup.
Just three days after the Champions League, it’s difficult to know which PSG team will field. Rotation would make sense, except there were already a lot of changes last weekend. And there’s time to prepare for another home game against Monaco on Friday in Ligue 1. Plus, they need to find solutions in midfield with numerous absences. There’s plenty of room for speculation among friends and family to challenge each other to guess the closest possible lineup.
4 – Gonçalo Ramos, a real solution?
Gonçalo Ramos (the 24-year-old striker) still hasn’t fully established himself at PSG, but perhaps an opportunity is on the horizon. Physical difficulties open the door to playing time. And issues with his performance, such as his finishing, could lead to a reassessment of the lineup. The Portuguese player needs to seize these opportunities and show that he’s a genuine option to provide another weapon in the Parisian attack.
3 – Lee Kang-In, a chance to shine.
Much like Ramos, Lee Kang-In (25-year-old midfielder/forward) should have even more opportunities to prove himself in a season plagued by injuries. The difference is that he has already played more and made his mark. Now, we’ll see if he can take the next step and become a regular starter in the Champions League. That’s undoubtedly his ambition, and it hinges on a strong performance tonight.
2 – Calming the catastrophism.
One could almost think PSG is out of the Champions League, given the negative comments we’ve seen since Wednesday. It’s a disaster; change is needed, almost a revolution. A good win would calm things down a bit, since everything is happening so fast. It would be nice to have a few days of respite. Even if taking a step back remains the best option.
1 – First place
Lens plays on Friday
For Le Havre, the priority is securing their place in the league as quickly as possible. But the Normandy club has a comfortable lead and isn’t under particular pressure, sitting nine points ahead of Auxerre, who occupy the relegation playoff spot.
