Maghnes Akliouche, a 23-year-old attacking midfielder/winger for AS Monaco, has been linked by the media with Paris Saint-Germain as a transfer target for the 2024 summer transfer window, but he has extended his contract (from 2026 to 2028). PSG is reportedly still interested in the future, while ASM has opened the door this time. Journalist Romain Collet Gaudin has recently revived this dormant issue.
“Maghnes Akliouche remains a priority for PSG, who are looking to sign three players during this transfer window.
However, Monaco’s €70 million asking price is holding up negotiations. The player wants to come to Paris!”
This journalist rarely makes such assertive statements without good reason, so we tend to trust him. The Akliouche option could therefore be very much on the table, even though it had not been mentioned for some time. At the very least, the player seems to fit the bill, as a young, versatile talent. He would also bring a breath of fresh air, as he still has everything to gain.
However, we remain cautious. Nothing is certain without confirmation, and there is no question of an agreement. A deadlock is possible, as each party may also have other ideas. Let’s wait and see what happens next.
