Noham Kamara, the 18-year-old defender under contract with Paris Saint-Germain until 2028, has been linked with a move away this winter transfer window. Discussions with Olympique Lyonnais were reportedly underway, possibly for a loan. Foot Mercato and journalist Fabrizio Romano announced this Friday that the young Parisian could ultimately be sold to Bayer Leverkusen.
Foot Mercato:
According to our sources, Leverkusen is currently the frontrunner in this transfer saga, although numerous clubs are also keeping a close eye on the Meaux native. Having made 12 appearances in all competitions this season, the 1.85m right-footed defender is closer than ever to leaving, and PSG, for its part, is open to the idea of a transfer.
Fabrizio Romano:
We remain cautious until anything is official; the transfer window can always move quickly and bring surprises. As in this case, with Lyon no longer leading the race for the player, and a departure that could be permanent for the young defender. This isn’t illogical; Kamara doesn’t really have a place at PSG at the moment, and perhaps a loan isn’t particularly appealing to either the player or the club.
Let’s wait for confirmation; negotiations aren’t over. Football can be unpredictable, and the transfer window is known for its twists and turns. But this is a story to watch in the final days of the transfer window (which closes on February 2nd in France).
