Désiré Doué, the 20-year-old attacking midfielder/winger for the French national team, who is under contract with Paris Saint-Germain until 2029 after arriving from Stade Rennais, is establishing himself as one of football’s top talents. Unsurprisingly, he is attracting a lot of attention. Journalist Nicolo Schira reports that PSG has a very clear plan.
“PSG plans to extend Désiré Doué’s contract until 2030, with a pay raise.”
This isn’t impossible; in fact, it’s quite logical, as PSG naturally wants to retain its most talented players. Doué is undoubtedly one of them, and we can only hope he stays in Paris for a long time to showcase his full potential. All this while also contributing valuable defensively. We are eager to see him return to the pitch, either just before or after the international break.
We remain cautious about this contract extension, which doesn’t appear to be a priority given the time remaining. Other discussions are underway, such as with Fabian Ruiz or Bradley Barcola. But the idea of extending Doué’s contract is certainly on the table, and negotiations could progress gradually.
