On Tuesday, Paris Saint-Germain faced Le Mans at the Stade Marie-Marvingt in the last eight of the Coupe de France 2024-2025. Antoine Rabillard, the 29-year-old striker for the Le Mans team, spoke to France 2 after the 0-2 Parisian victory (video highlights Le Mans/PSG). He spoke of a special evening, with some good things from his team against an over-strong opponent.
Rabillard “We can see the difference in level, but we can be proud of ourselves.”
Proud? Have you put Le Mans back on the footballing map?
Yes, we fought with our weapons. We’re expecting a complicated match. Paris dominates the French championship and plays in the Champions League, so we have nothing to be ashamed of. It’s a shame, there were some moves we could have played better, and the first goal was a mistake. But we put Le Mans back on the soccer map.
What stood out against PSG?
The movement, it’s very strong, the calls, counter-calls… It’s a very high level. You can see the difference in levels, but we can be proud of ourselves.
