This Saturday, Paris Saint-Germain (1st) take on Rennes (11th) at Roazhon Park for the 25th day of Ligue 1 2024-2025 (kick-off 5pm, UTC+1). Paris coach Luis Enrique must choose his starting 11, taking into account the opponent, upcoming matches and suspension risks, after having formed the Parisian squad for this match.
We can only expect some rotation for this match between the two Champions League Round of 16 ties against Liverpool. PSG still want to win, and will continue to do so on this trip, but there is also the logic of having a bit of a head start in Europe when they have a good lead in Ligue 1.
It remains to be seen how much the team will change, as it’s not a question of changing everything at once. We also need to keep up the pace. At the very least, Paris has shown in recent weeks that there’s enough in the squad to maintain a certain level amid the changes. But that doesn’t make the choices any easier. Quite the opposite, in fact.
Possible line-up:
Barcola – Ramos – Doué
Mayulu – Zaïre-Emery – Lee
Hernandez – Pacho – Beraldo – Hakimi
Safonov
Substitutes – Donnarumma, Tenas, Mendes, Kimpembe, Neves, Ruiz, Vitinha, Dembélé, Mbaye, Kvaratskhelia.
Out – Marquinhos (rest), El Hannach, Tape, Zague (choice).
Possible suspension for yellow card: Senny Mayulu.
This would be effective for the match against Saint-Etienne on March 29, the 27th day of Ligue 1.
