This Saturday, Paris Saint-Germain (1st in Ligue 1) take on Reims (16th) at the Stade de France for the final of the Coupe de France 2024-2025 (kick-off 9pm, CET). Paris coach Luis Enrique must choose his starting 11, taking into account the opponent, upcoming matches and suspension risks, after having formed the Paris squad for this match.
Luis Enrique’s choices are always difficult to guess, even if a “typical team” emerges on big nights. Questions remain, including which striker should be with Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Ousmane Dembélé: Gonçalo Ramos, Bradley Barcola or Désiré Doué? Although the Georgian could also be on the bench, which would be quite a surprise.
In midfield, there’s the possibility of Warren Zaïre-Emery. Or simply the usual trio from recent Champions League matches. Or the possible descent of Désiré Doué. There could be a few “changes”, perhaps with a view to the Champions League final against Inter Milan next Saturday. We need to prepare well, with pace and, of course, a win. The idea may also be to give some players a bit of rhythm and confidence.
Possible line-up:
Kvaratskhelia – Dembélé – Doué
Ruiz – Vitinha – Neves
Mendes – Pacho – Marquinhos – Hakimi
Donnarumma
Substitutes – Safonov, Tenas, Beraldo, Hernandez, Mayulu, Zaïre-Emery, Barcola, Lee, Mbaye, Ramos.
Possible suspension for yellow card: Mendes, Zaïre-Emery.
This would be effective for the 1st match of next season.
