Reims goalkeeper Yehvann Diouf spoke to beIN SPORTS, acknowledging the sheer level of their opponent and looking ahead to PSG’s upcoming Champions League final.
Yehvann Diouf: “They’re one of the best teams in Europe, and they proved it tonight.”
Congratulations on your personal performance, but was the gap between the teams too big?
“It’s hard to say ‘congrats’ to a goalkeeper when you concede three. But we tried to fight with what we had. We’re in a tough situation—this has been a difficult season for us, and we’re up against a PSG that’s in a Champions League final.”
“They’re one of the best teams in Europe, and they proved it tonight. They’re a top-class side. Despite everything, we tried to hold our own, but it wasn’t enough.”
The crowd was fully behind you?
“Yes, they never stopped supporting us, even through the difficult moments. We wanted to make them proud by giving our all. Hopefully, we did, even though we’d have liked a different result.”
Any words for PSG ahead of the Champions League final?
“Good luck.”
