Korean midfielder Lee Kang-In, 24, arrived at the summer mercato in July 2023 from Mallorca and is under contract at Paris Saint-Germain until June 2028. He has achieved some fine things, but is struggling to establish himself fully, and there is talk of a departure this mercato. Today, L’Equipe confirms the rumour of Napoli’s interest.
“The South Korean is attracting strong interest from Napoli, this season’s Italian champions, as reported by Corriere dello Sport and confirmed by L’Equipe.
The Italian club would like to move forward with the transfer of the attacking midfielder, but are waiting to hear Paris Saint-Germain’s decisions regarding the player. For the time being, PSG has not opened the door to negotiations with the Serie A club.”
We’re still cautious, it’s not yet enough to be certain. We need official confirmation, i.e. a statement from a club or the player. Napoli may be interested in Lee, but the Italian club and the Korean international may also have other ideas. Just as we don’t yet know PSG’s position.
Let alone a price, an essential point in any negotiations. So the transfer is still a long way off, and we’ll have to wait and see.
