Arriving in the summer transfer window in July 2023 from Mallorca, Lee Kang-In, a 24-year-old Korean midfielder/winger, is under contract until June 2028 at Paris Saint-Germain. He has achieved some great things, but is struggling to fully establish himself, and the idea of leaving is regularly raised. Today, PSG Inside Actus assures that Saudi Arabia is insisting after attempts last summer.
“Un club saoudien insiste pour recruter Kang-In Lee cet hiver.
Entre Al-Nassr et Neom SC, le joueur sud-coréen pourrait obtenir un salaire supérieur à celui du PSG.
L’été dernier, Paris était déjà prêt à écouter les offres, pas sûr pour le mercato d’hiver…affaire à suivre.”
Nothing impossible, as there were already some approaches last summer, and Saudi clubs continue their efforts to attract top European players in order to strengthen their leagues. Lee could indeed be a target — he has great technical qualities and a strong marketing appeal across Asia.
A departure could be considered, especially for a player who isn’t an undisputed starter. However, it’s far from guaranteed. The South Korean international seems to have gained confidence and importance within the Parisian squad recently. Coach Luis Enrique particularly appreciates his versatility and team spirit, while Lee himself likely values his role within one of the best teams in Europe right now.
So, for now, it’s best to wait. Nothing is certain, and it wouldn’t be surprising to see Lee remain at PSG a while longer.
