Yoram Zague, a 19-year-old right-back with a professional contract at Paris Saint-Germain until 2027, has been loaned to Copenhagen for the 2025-2026 season, with an option to buy. A great opportunity, but one that leaves some uncertainty for the future. In the meantime, the Parisian star spoke to the Danish club’s official website.
Zague “it’s time to take the next step.”
“It means a lot to me to join a club like F.C. Copenhagen. I received a solid footballing education at PSG and I’m grateful to have made my debut there, but I think it’s time to take the next step. I’ve been following F.C. Copenhagen’s European matches and I’ve seen how the club gives young players a chance at the highest level – it inspires me and matches my ambitions.
“The club is very attractive to me, not least because of my conversations with the sporting director and the coach. I’m looking forward to being part of the team, discovering a new environment and improving as a player.”
Zague does not forget to be grateful to his training club, even if the last few months have been very difficult. He’s kind of “disappeared”, not even being called up to the squad. That’s the way competition works, and you have to accept it.
But the Titi was logically keen to move on to something else, with a more important role in a team. Copenhagen is an interesting choice, with playing time that seems accessible but also a certain amount of pressure with the Danish champion, who wants to make a good impression in Europe.
We now need to adapt quickly to another culture, and we’ll be taking stock at the end of the season.
