Having arrived in the 2023 summer mercato from Inter Milan, 30-year-old defender Milan Skriniar has not made the move to Paris Saint-Germain. His contract expires in June 2028 and he has been loaned out to Fenerbahçe for the second half of the 2024-2025 season. He has bounced back well and there has been talk of a permanent move to the Turkish club this summer. This Wednesday, journalist Romain Collet Gaudin confirms the trend of recent days.
“Milan Skriniar très proche du Fenerbahce SK !
Choix de José Mourinho.
Un Transfert définitif et contrat de 3 ans pour le Slovaque.”
Skriniar had announced quite early on that he wanted to stay, and Fenerbahçe are going in the same direction, so a signing has seemed likely for some time. An imminent signing therefore makes sense, after negotiations on the price (rumoured to be between 10 and 15 million euros) and salary.
We’ll remain cautious until there’s official confirmation, but the suspense seems to revolve around the exact timing and amount of the transfer.
