On Monday, during the 5th matchday of the 2025-2026 Ligue 1 season, Paris Saint-Germain faced Olympique de Marseille at the Stade Vélodrome. After a match in which the Red and Blues struggled, they lost 1-0. Here are our player ratings for the Parisians.
Goalkeeper –
Lucas Chevalier (3) – A match he will want to forget quickly. His mistake leading to the goal proved costly.
Defenders –
Marquinhos (5) – Unusually deployed as a right-back, he struggled at times, but he gave his all, without managing to win all his duels.
Willian Pacho (6) – Solid and efficient, he didn’t stand out particularly. He remains impressive physically. Substituted in the second half by Lee Kang-in.
Ilya Zabarnyi (7) – Impressive in his duels, he showed a lot of character in this match.
Nuno Mendes (6) – Capable of driving forward with the ball, he unfortunately didn’t do it enough during most of the match.
Midfielders –
Warren Zaïre-Emery (3) – At some point, he will have to start taking more risks with his passing and dribbling. Too timid, he didn’t impress. Substituted by Senny Mayulu in the 73rd minute.
Vitinha (6) – An average performance, even though he tried to create some rhythm, but he didn’t really spark anything. He was the player who took the most shots on goal.
Fabian Ruiz (3) – We didn’t recognize him in this match, as is often the case when the opponent presses.
Attackers –
Achraf Hakimi (4) – Not a great performance from him. He did, however, put in a good fight.
Khvicha Kvaratskhelia (5) – He wasn’t the worst player for Paris, but he lacked support to create opportunities up front.
Gonçalo Ramos (3) – Unfortunately, he missed too many chances and struggled to hold the ball up as a target man. This didn’t help his team. He also lacked wingers to supply him with passes.
Manager –
Luis Enrique (4) – He couldn’t find a solution with some key players missing.
