This Wednesday, Paris Saint-Germain faces AS Monaco at the Parc des Princes in the second leg (2-3 in the first leg) of their 2025-2026 Champions League playoff (kick-off at 9 pm, CET). On Monday, after PSG’s training session, L’Equipe provided an update on the Parisian squad.
“While the rest of their teammates were resting on Monday, Ousmane Dembélé and Fabian Ruiz continued their treatment at the Campus. Unlike Senny Mayulu and Quentin Ndjantou, the striker and midfielder’s absences have not yet been confirmed for the Champions League playoff second leg against Monaco this Wednesday (9 pm). A further assessment will be made on Tuesday. Substituted as a precaution at halftime of Saturday’s 3-0 victory against Metz, the striker is no longer experiencing any pain in his adductors.”
Ousmane Dembélé (28-year-old forward) and Fabian Ruiz (29-year-old midfielder) will likely be unavailable for this match. Ruiz, in particular, doesn’t appear to have trained with the group today and hasn’t played in a while. As for Dembélé, there’s still a glimmer of hope given his brief absence. However, no risks will be taken. We’ll know more with PSG’s official medical update tomorrow, which should be released around 11:00 AM. Let’s hope it confirms the good news regarding Doué (20-year-old midfielder/forward), who already looked very promising after the match.
