This Friday, Luis Enrique celebrates his 56th birthday. To mark the occasion, the Paris Saint-Germain coach invited his players to dinner on Thursday evening, reports Le Parisien. However, the Spanish coach was not present.
“He therefore reserved a table at the Prunier restaurant, not far from the Arc de Triomphe, a ‘caviar house’ where seafood and many other elegant dishes are served. A prime location in a chic Parisian neighborhood, which reflects the importance of the evening.
One small detail, though: the Spanish coach was not there. The Paris Saint-Germain players thus celebrated their boss’s birthday without him, and took the opportunity to stay on cloud nine and continue debriefing their magical night in Munich.”
It’s rather surprising, even if one can understand the idea of allowing the players to enjoy the evening in peace. In any case, we trust Luis Enrique to manage his life and his team of players well. But there’s no doubt he’s a rather unique character. That’s not the only reason he’ll be remembered in PSG history, of course.
