Yan Diomande, a 19-year-old forward for RB Leipzig (contracted until 2030) and the Ivory Coast national team, has recently been linked closely to Paris Saint-Germain. Foot Mercato now reports that he is expected to be PSG’s first summer signing, with Maghnes Akliouche (a 24-year-old attacking midfielder/winger for AS Monaco and France) also close to joining. Meanwhile, Bradley Barcola (a 23-year-old forward under contract until 2028) could potentially leave.
“PSG is convinced Yan Diomandé will be their first summer signing
Paris is confident about finalizing the deal in the coming days
With the arrivals of Diomandé and Akliouche, PSG is reportedly considering letting Bradley Barcola go.
Bear in mind, nothing is certain until it is official. However, numerous journalists are reporting Diomande’s transfer to PSG; it would be strange if this were merely a coincidence. The move is plausible, and the player appears to have clearly made his choice—as does Akliouche. Negotiations with both clubs still need to take place, of course; an agreement is possible, though not guaranteed.
If these two signings go through, PSG considering Barcola’s departure would make sense. The French international might also be weighing his options, given that securing a starting spot would become even more difficult. Nothing is set in stone yet, but his contract situation compels both the club and the player to make a decision this summer. A departure is certainly not out of the question.
