On Friday, during Matchday 3 of the 2026-2027 Ligue 1 season, Paris Saint-Germain faced Monaco at the Parc des Princes. After a match where the Rouge et Bleu dominated but failed to convert their chances, they lost 1–2. Here are our ratings for the Parisian players.
Goalkeeper –
Matvey Safonov (5) – A few good saves, but he also looked a bit shaky on the second goal conceded.
Defenders –
Achraf Hakimi (6) – Always active and often showing great vision, though he lacked that final touch to finish off plays.
Marquinhos (6.5) – Scored a goal and was very solid in the first half, but was beaten by a dribble on the second goal conceded.
Willian Pacho (7) – Very strong in duels; it is great to see him back in form. He contained Paris Brunner very well.
Warren Zaïre-Emery (6) – Very impressive in the first half, though he was slightly less prominent in the second. Replaced by Lucas Hernandez in the 63rd minute.
Midfielders –
Vitinha (6.5) – Always capable of delivering superb passes, while also contributing effectively in defense.
João Neves (6.5) – Very active in both build-up play and defensive work; he put in several impressive performances throughout the match.
Fabian Ruiz (6.5) – Won possession frequently and played good passes; he just lacked a bit more precision with his shots. Replaced in the 75th minute by Dro Fernandez.
Forwards –
Khvicha Kvaratskhelia (5.5) – Provided the assist for Marquinhos and made some dynamic runs, but also forced his shots at times and lacked clinical finishing. Replaced by Mika Godts in the 69th minute.
Maghnes Akliouche (6) – Showed plenty of activity and played some lovely passes, though something was still missing. Replaced in the 69th minute by Ousmane Dembélé.
Désiré Doué (5.5) – Some good movement and defensive effort, but failed to capitalize on chances. Replaced in the 63rd minute by Ferran Torres.
Coach –
Luis Enrique (6) – The dominance is there, and playing time is being managed well, but the fact that PSG isn’t winning—even early in the season—is concerning.
