It comes as little surprise that 27-year-old goalkeeper Matvey Safonov was selected; he delivered a strong performance, keeping PSG within striking distance of Strasbourg despite the team facing several significant scoring chances. In truth, it is difficult to identify any other Parisian who could have earned a spot in this lineup, given what was a rather mixed performance from the team.
While the substitutes made a major impact by injecting pace and helping to turn the match around, the selection focuses on the starting XI.
