This Saturday, as part of the 11th day of Ligue 1 2024-2025, Paris Saint-Germain faced Angers at the Stade Raymond Kopa. After a match in which the Rouge et Bleu dominated outrageously before easing off, they won 2-4. Here are our notes on the Parisians.
Goalkeeper –
Gianluigi Donnarumma (6) – A good first half, despite Angers’ few attempts. Some good stuff in the second.
Defenders –
Achraf Hakimi (7) – As valuable as ever on his flank. He can make mistakes, but the balance with all the positives he brings is largely in his favor. He runs a lot and is a real handful on his flank. Replaced at half-time by Yoram Zague (7) A fine entrance, crosses, presence, the minutes will do him good.
Marquinhos (7) – A safe game from him, he had a great first half. He was a little “hard” on the man in the second half.
Milan Skriniar (6) – Nothing to reproach him for in the first half. Not much of a threat defensively, he didn’t take any risks with the restart, his weak point.
Lucas Beraldo (4) – Not great defensively, it has to be said, but he was daring in his passing and his pass to Asensio for Lee’s goal was delightful. Still, his difficulty in defending properly is regrettable.
Midfielders –
Senny Mayulu (6) – Interesting in his positioning, he wasn’t incredible in the first half, but he didn’t stand out from the rest of the team. Replaced by Randal Kolo Muani in the 66th minute.
Fabian Ruiz (6) – Average offensively, mobile in the game, we clearly expect more from him. He tried his luck in the first half, without conviction. We saw much less of him in the second half.
Warren Zaïre-Emery (7) – Very good in the first half, moving around a lot and showing off. Replaced by Ousmane Dembélé in the 66th minute.
Forwards –
Lee Kang-in (8) – Two goals, one assist, not much to complain about in the first half. He kept on trying in the second half, making a great start to the season. Replaced by Joao Neves in the 92nd minute.
Marco Asensio (7) – Clearly good with the ball, he was disappointing in front of goal in the first half, but when it came to finding his team-mates, he was royal with 3 assists.
Bradley Barcola ( 8) – A double for him, without overdoing it, a fine first half. Replaced by Désiré Doué at half-time (6) A sluggish start, even if he did manage some quality link-ups. We expect better.
Coach –
Luis Enrique (8) – His turnover worked, without changing the team’s style or impact in Ligue 1. It just goes to show that this team can play well even with absentees and, above all, that this team can score goals.
