The attacking scores were logically very positive, with each of the starting forwards scoring at least 2 goals (2 goals for Barcola, 2 assists for Asensio, 2 goals and 1 assist for Lee). It’s hard to ask for much more, when they were so mobile in the game and defended so energetically.
The others didn’t shine quite so brightly, although there were some interesting things going on. Hakimi’s climbs, a decisive pass for Zaire-Emery and a few passes from Ruiz were among them. But there were also a few misses. Mayulu made some notable inroads.
While Beraldo and Skriniar suffered – especially the former, who is not in his preferred position – in the face of the Angevins’ projections, which is no surprise given the latter’s speed.
