This Tuesday, Paris Saint-Germain (1st in Ligue 1) take on Le Mans (6th in National) at the Stade Marie-Marvingt in the 8th round of the Coupe de France 2024-2025 (kick-off 9.10pm, CET). Paris coach Luis Enrique must choose his starting 11, taking into account the opponent, upcoming matches and suspension risks, after having formed the Parisian squad for this match.
The Champions League is obviously still on everyone’s minds, and returns next week with the first leg of the play-off against Brest (and the return leg the following week). This is bound to have an impact on squad management. The same goes for Ligue 1, even if PSG have a bit of leeway in this competition.
So we’re expecting a bit of squad management. Whether it’s to give certain players a breather, or to give rhythm and confidence afterwards (like those who have been injured). But the idea will be to have a competitive team. PSG are favourites, but that’s no guarantee of victory. Le Mans will put up a fight and they’ve got quality. And let’s not forget that in this competition, any slip-up is fatal.
The Parisian team is hard to guess with all that in mind, but we can try to give you an overall idea.
Possible line-up :
Kvaratskhelia – Ramos – Dembélé
Doué – Ruiz – Mayulu
Mendes – Hernandez – Beraldo – Zague
Safonov
Substitutes – Mouquet, Tenas, Hakimi, Kimpembe, Pacho, Tape, Lee, Vitinha, Barcola.
Out – Mbaye, Zaïre-Emery (injury), Donnarumma, Marquinhos, Neves (rest) El Hannach, Tape (choice).
Possible suspension for yellow card: Bradley Barcola.
This would be effective from Tuesday February 11, against Toulouse on Matchday 22 of Ligue 1.
