Having arrived in the summer of 2023 from Inter Milan, 29-year-old defender Milan Skriniar has yet to fully establish himself at Paris Saint-Germain. His contract expires in June 2028, and his name has been mentioned in the rumor mill. This Saturday, journalist Alfredo Pedulla and La Gazzetta dello Sport make strong announcements about the potential transfer to Juventus Turin.
“Exclusive: Hancko the most valued (and expensive) by Juve. The latest on Silva, Fagioli and Zirkzee.”
A short while ago, several media outlets, including Foot Mercato, reported that the transfer to Juventus was progressing well, with the club and Skriniar even reaching a verbal agreement. But today’s Italian reports are very different.
The Slovak is reportedly not very interested in the loan deal announced so far, and is also considered too expensive, particularly in terms of salary, by the Italian club. The Italian club reportedly has a preference for David Hancko (Feyenoord) and Antonio Silva (Benfica). Both have also been in PSG’s sights in recent months.
There’s still nothing certain, of course, as these are still rumours. So we remain cautious. But Skriniar’s departure this winter is clearly far from a foregone conclusion, all the more so to sign for Juventus.
