PSG strangely finished the match completely exhausted. Metz put PSG on the back foot; Metz scared the Parisians. Defensively, there was a lack of composure, and the midfield was completely out of sorts. Lee, Vitinha, and Ruiz all had a poor game, each in their own way. The positive point was the forwards; the two academy graduates had a good match, especially Mbaye, who was very incisive and inspired. Ramos played his part, scoring, and deserves a closer look at his “fairly” successful performance.
There are two matches left this year, and in the last three years (under Luis Enrique), we’ve never seen the Parisians so shaky as they are at the end of 2025. This is due to injuries and mental fatigue. In these situations, the victory is what matters, and we must hope that everyone bounces back in 2026. Before that, the Intercontinental Cup final and the Round of 32 of the Coupe de France are looming, and Paris will have to be very careful.
