This Saturday at 9pm (CET), Paris Saint-Germain (1st in Ligue 1) face Reims (16th) at the Stade de France in the final of the Coupe de France 2024-2025. L’Equipe reports on Tuesday that the match has been rated 3/5 by the DNLH (Division Nationale de Lutte contre le Hooliganisme – National Division for Combating Hooliganism), which means that there is a risk involved, even if the fear is not immense.
Trouble between Paris fans?
“Even if the match does not inspire any particular fears, it has been classified at level 3 out of 5 by the Division nationale de lutte contre le hooliganisme (DNLH), meaning that there could be “risks of public order disturbances linked to a dispute between supporters or the habitual behavior of certain supporters”.
The public authorities consider that there could be incidents between the Collectif Ultras Paris (CUP) and former supporters of the Virage Auteuil, with whom they are at loggerheads, but also with hooligans from Reims, a fringe of whom claim to be far-right.”
Unfortunately, soccer matches are often surrounded by this fear of overflow, of various incidents. These have more to do with stupidity than with sport, but there are colors to have a side and do anything together. It’s only a tiny minority, but sometimes it’s enough to ruin everything.
Let’s hope that nothing serious happens and that we have a great evening in the French Cup final. A competition that epitomizes the values of soccer.
