This Wednesday at 9 p.m. (CET), Paris Saint-Germain faces AS Monaco at the Parc des Princes in the second leg of the 2025-2026 Champions League playoff (2-3 in the first leg). According to L’Equipe, PSG will have 1,200 away fans in the stands.
“A security meeting was held this Monday, and the match was classified as level 1 out of 5 by the National Division for Combating Hooliganism, the lowest risk level (level 2 for the first leg due to the proximity to Marseille). Around 1,200 Monaco fans are expected, and three mobile security units will be deployed.”
It’s understandable that Monaco fans are traveling in large numbers to give their team the best possible support and push them towards a victory. Of course, everyone is counting on the Parisians to make their voices heard even louder, with the rest of the stadium singing to give PSG extra energy. PSG, for their part, also needs to perform well on the pitch to make it a memorable evening.
Naturally, we also hope there won’t be any incidents between supporters; we just want to enjoy the football. There’s no particular rivalry between the two clubs, so there’s reason to be optimistic. Even so, the authorities will be keeping a close eye on things.
