Here’s our series. The 5 good reasons to watch a match (with some adjustments here and there). We’ll revisit the compelling aspects before each match with a mix of seriousness and humor. Please note, this isn’t meant to be an exhaustive overview. We continue here with the match between Paris Saint-Germain (1st) this Sunday and Paris FC (11th) at the Stade Jean Bouin for Matchday 34 of the 2025-2026 Ligue 1 season (kick-off at 9 pm, CET).
5 – A special away game.
It’s very rare to play away while remaining within fifty meters of your home stadium. It’s also a “trip” that PSG has never made, having only faced PFC this season at the Parc des Princes (Ligue 1 and Coupe de France). It’s a real turning point.
4 – The Parisian derby.
As we just mentioned, this is a special match, with two Parisian clubs facing off in Ligue 1. It’s a very recent season, and we need to make the most of it, hoping that Paris FC can establish themselves among the elite. There’s also a bit of a rivalry, even if the clubs are on different levels, which adds a little spice to this encounter.
3 – Title celebration, but you have to be early.
PSG officially clinched the 2025-2026 French league title with a 2-0 victory against Lens on Wednesday (a rescheduled match from Matchday 29) and will receive their trophy. It’s a moment everyone wants to experience. However, be sure to arrive early for the match, as the trophy presentation is scheduled for before the warm-up, approximately one hour before kickoff, so as not to disrupt the events planned by PSG after the game.
2 – Final Rehearsal Before the Champions League Final.
This is the last (official, at least) match before PSG’s Champions League final against Arsenal. It serves as preparation, even if the context is completely different. There will also be squad rotation to avoid injuries, which is important in the preparation, as is building rhythm and confidence. It’s something to watch.
1 – The End of the Season is Here.
PSG only has one match left after this, and none for Paris FC. This is the end of the 2025-2026 season. We have to make the most of it; we know the time may seem long afterwards. Even though there’s the World Cup this summer, a fantastic competition to enjoy as well. We know we’ll still miss our beloved club.
