Warren Zaïre-Emery, Paris Saint-Germain’s 18-year-old midfielder, is considered one of the strongest links in Luis Enrique’s system. Speaking to SoFoot, the Parisian midfielder spoke of his mentality, which has enabled him to become a regular in one of Europe’s best squads.
“Even today I don’t ask myself any questions, I’m carefree, I just give the best of myself, I work to be the best.”
Obviously, at just 18, Warren Zaïre-Emery still has plenty of room for improvement. But emerging at 17 is probably the hardest thing for a player who has to discover everything with enormous pressure on his shoulders. Despite his excellent season last year, we need to give him time to progress and gain experience.
The talent is undeniably there at Zaïre-Emery, but he still has a long way to go. Steps that will enable him to become a solid player, and one who is inevitably more sure of his strengths, particularly when it comes to major European fixtures.
