On Saturday at the Stadium, Paris Saint-Germain defeated Toulouse 0-1 on Matchday 22 of Ligue 1 2024-2025 (video highlights Toulouse/PSG). We then asked our readers, as they do after every match from now on, to vote for the best Parisian of the match. Fabian Ruiz (28-year-old midfielder) came out on top.
This success is hardly surprising, given that Ruiz was quite good in midfield, initiating a number of good situations. Defensively solid, he also scored the only goal of the match when he was in the right place to connect with Willian Pacho’s (23-year-old defender) header.
Also, PSG weren’t exactly brilliant, and few players really stood out. The fact of having scored inevitably helps to get ahead. Senny Mayulu (18-year-old midfielder) was rather enterprising and we expected to see him on the podium, but this was less the case for Bradley Barcola (22-year-old striker), who lacked precision on 3 big chances in particular.
We were more surprised to see no votes for Lucas Beraldo (20-year-old defender), even though he was very clean in the restart and quite good defensively.
