This Saturday, the Paris Saint-Germain and Dijon women’s teams faced off at the PSG Campus for the 4th matchday of the 2025–2026 D1 Arkema season. After PSG’s 1–0 victory, captain Sakina Karchaoui (29-year-old full-back/midfielder) spoke to PSG TV.
Karchaoui: “All the players enjoyed themselves today, and that’s the most important thing.”
Was it important to react after the defeat?
“Yes, it was important to show a different face. I think we were very solid — and so were they. We won 1–0, maybe on a penalty, but those are still three points, and that was the goal.”
Was it also about building confidence before the Champions League?
“Yes, clearly, winning today was also about gaining confidence ahead of the Champions League. We’re excited to start this new competition. I think all the players enjoyed themselves today, and that’s the main thing.”
