This Tuesday, Paris Saint-Germain will be at Anfield to face Liverpool (kick-off at 9 pm, CET) in the second leg of their 2025-2026 Champions League quarter-final (2-0 in the first leg). Bradley Barcola (23-year-old forward) is expected to be ready for the match, according to L’Equipe.
“The Parisian is feeling good and his inclusion in the squad for the second leg at Anfield on Tuesday (9 pm) is now considered very likely. The former Lyon player is not expected to start the match, but could get some playing time. For that to happen, his upcoming training sessions on Saturday and Sunday will need to go well.”
This is excellent news, although we are still waiting for confirmation before celebrating. Barcola will need to be in the squad traveling on Monday to confirm that he’s close to returning to play, and the suspense could last until the match, or even until the final whistle.
The fact that the striker is training is already a good sign. But competition is another matter, especially with a trip to Anfield for the Champions League quarter-final second leg. The coaching staff won’t take any risks, and they’re the only ones with all the information. We can assume that coach Luis Enrique won’t want to give the opposition any clues.
