This March 25 will go down in Paris Saint-Germain history. Nasser Al-Khelaïfi will break the record for longevity as president of the Paris club, as revealed by Ici Paris Ile de France. A record which, for him, surpasses the late Francis Borelli.
“Tomorrow, Nasser al-Khelaïfi will break the record for the longest tenure of a Psg president: 13 years, 4 months and 22 days. He will overtake President Francis Borelli.”
It’s no mean feat, such a long tenure at the head of a club, with results and great progress for the club. We may regret all the stories that come out about him, but the club has grown under his presidency.
He should more than beat this record, given that he intends to stay on for a few more years, with the idea of a long-term project. We can look at the sporting results, as well as the overall results, but the Parisian president has not finished making a name for himself. And it’s clear that the club has made progress since his arrival, so let’s hope it continues. Let’s hope it continues to do so, both in terms of image, overall strength and sporting performance.
