Maghnes Akliouche, the 24-year-old Paris Saint-Germain midfielder/forward, spoke to Ligue1+ following PSG’s 3-1 victory over Le Mans this Saturday at the Parc des Princes, in Matchday 6 of the 2026-2027 Ligue 1 season.
Akliouche: “It’s never easy.”
Was it important to get the win tonight?
We know that coming back after the international break is never easy. Every team in the league is tough to play against. We scored three goals—we could have scored more—but we’re happy with the win. There’s another match coming up soon.
Was this a collective effort, including the substitutes?
Yes, quite a few players took part in the match, and that’s what a squad is all about. We have to keep going; there are important games ahead.
Akliouche: “I need to help the team.”
You must be pleased with that goal?
I’m happy. I enjoy being involved in the play, but scoring is a great feeling, and my goal is to keep it up. It’s good.
Does scoring like that show confidence?
Of course. I have to take chances, get involved in the game, and help the team—that’s my objective. I managed to do that today, which is great.
