On Wednesday evening, Paris Saint-Germain secured a 3-0 victory against Nantes in a rescheduled match from Matchday 26 of the 2025-2026 Ligue 1 season at the Parc des Princes. Here are the highs and lows of this win.
Highs –
❤️ Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Désiré Doué.
Khvicha Kvaratskhelia (25-year-old forward) and Désiré Doué (20-year-old midfielder/forward) not only each scored a magnificent goal, showcasing their distinct styles, but they also displayed excellent form. They were incisive and played as a team, creating numerous scoring opportunities. It’s a joy to see them at this level, especially in the crucial part of the season.
This time, efficiency.
PSG had almost twice as many shots against Olympique Lyonnais, but scored three times fewer. Let’s return to the more negative aspects of this match, but the fact that we were quite efficient is a good thing. Both for confidence and the league table.
A penalty scored!
It’s a rather strange occurrence in PSG’s season, but scoring a penalty is an event worth celebrating. It’s good for the scoreline, of course, but also for morale. Perhaps Kvaratskhelia will have the opportunity to take more.
Lows –
😡Lack of control.
The score is there, we don’t want to complain. But PSG didn’t deliver a great performance either. There were technical errors and defensive lapses, with Nantes being more dangerous than expected.
The timing.
We know that the postponement brings complications, but this 7 pm match on a Wednesday isn’t the most convenient.
