This Friday at 9pm (broadcast on DAZN) Paris Saint-Germain (1st) take on Auxerre (8th) at the Stade de l’Abbé-Deschamps as part of the 14th day of Ligue 1 2024-2025. According to Le Parisien, the Parisian club will see 800 fans in the stands.
“They will be supported by some 880 supporters, including 600 ultras, announced the Yonne prefecture of police on Thursday.
In addition to a meeting point set for 7 p.m. at the A6 freeway exit, from which the convoy organized by the club from the capital will be supervised by the forces of law and order, access to the center of Auxerre has been banned “to any person claiming to be a supporter of the PSG club or behaving as such” from 4 p.m. on Friday, and until 1 a.m. on Saturday.”
This may not seem like a large number, but it’s already a good share of the 18,000-odd seats at the Abbé-Deschamps. No doubt the Parisians will be out in force, as always, to cheer on the team from the capital. Let’s hope they’ll be up to the challenge, too, for a great evening.
Which would put the negative mood surrounding PSG of recent days to one side. Even if we know that it’s the Champions League matches that largely dictate the wind.
